Mr. Monroe Jackson Kelso, Jr., entered into eternal rest at Lynchburg General Hospital on October 23, 2018.
He was born on May 31, 1949, to the late Monroe Jackson Kelso, Sr., and Helen Fleshman Kelso.
Monroe is preceded in death by one sister, Helen Faye Fleshman and one son, Kevin Herndon.
He was the funniest person to be around and could make you laugh all the time.
To cherish his memories are two children; Monroe O’Neal Kelso and Zane Troy Kelso, both of Lynchburg, VA.; two sisters; Barbara Woodson (Sammy) of Spout Spring, VA., and Thelma Kelso of Appomattox, VA.; his mother, Helen Kelso; three brothers; Bernard Kelso, Ben Kelso and Ward Kelso (Janet) all of Appomattox, VA.; two uncles; Rev. Harrison Kelso (Helen) of Appomattox, VA., and Nathaniel Kelso of Washington, DC; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a nephew he treated like a grandson, Zayden Kelso, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
