On the morning of April 9, 2024, an Angel of Peace and Mercy silently swept into the corridors of Lynchburg General Hospital reclaiming the loving, humble, and virtuous soul of Celia Ann Mosley Jones.
Celia Ann, the daughter of the late Deacon Walter Lee and Deaconess Serena Humbles Mosley, S., was born on July 28, 1959 in Lynchburg, VA. She attended and graduated from the Appomattox County School System.
Celia gave her heart to the Lord at an early age and joined the Jordan Baptist Church in Appomattox County, VA. She served as a member of the Usher Ministry and was also a member of the Young Adult Choir. Celia was a faithful member of Jordan Baptist Church until her health declined. Celia worked for many years as secretary for the FBI, a nursing assistant at Pine View Nursing Home in Spout Spring, VA and she was also a personal care aide for the elderly in the community until her health began to fail.
Celia fondly loved working crossword puzzles, but her greatest joys were her grandsons Treyvon and XZavier, who affectionately referred to her as NaNa.
Celia was welcomed into heaven by her heavenly father, Jehovah God, her grandparents, her parents Deacon Walter Lee & Deaconess Serena Humbles Mosley, Sr., and her grandson Isaiah Croner. Celia's unconditional love and fond memories will be forever cherished by her loving spouse of 26 years Bennett (Teeny Bop) Jones, and her two children, Edward Lee Parrish, Jr., and Serena Marie Parrish whom God also chose to be her devoted caregiver until her demise (Walter Croner), and her precious grandbabies Treyvon and Xzavier Croner all of Appomattox, VA; three siblings, Godfrey "Dennis" Mosley of Georgia, Maralisa Mosley Jones (Gordon) of Appomattox, VA and Walter Lee Mosley, Jr., of Newport News, VA; one sister-in-law, Tomika Wright (Shawn) of Appomattox, VA, three brothers-in-law William Jones of Phenix, VA, John Jones of Madison Heights, VA and McArthur Jones (Virginia) of Pamplin, VA; a very special uncle Steve Humbles and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family, and friends.
