Charlie "Butch" Henry Walker

Charlie Henry Walker, affectionately known as Butch, was born on June 2, 1956 in Queens, New York to Henry Thomas Walker and Helen Pauline Walker. Butch departed this life on August 30, 2019 from illness.  

Butch most notably worked for a Lucite Company in New York and Newton Shows Traveling Carnival. He was a local handyman in New York and Virginia. Butch enjoyed roller-skating, baseball, basketball and boxing. He was best known for his colorful ensembles, being the life of the party, making others laugh and always being willing     to lend a helping hand. He was a beloved father figure to many. To know Butch was to love him.

Butch was preceded in death by his father Henry Thomas Walker and brother Emmanuel Walker. 

Butch leaves to cherish his memories his daughters;  Latitia (Tisha) Walker, Shamika Walker, Helen Walker, Edna King and Fahteema King. Grandchildren; Taliyah Roberts, Chaniya Browning, Myisha King, Shaliyah Crawford, Gazelle Santiago, Maliyah Crawford, and Shaborn Crawford, Jr. Mother; Helen Walker. Brothers; Samuel Walker and Richard Walker. Sister; Tina Walker. Sister-in Law; Tamika Nater. He leaves a host of "adopted" children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Promise Land Baptist Church, 5562 Promise Land Road, Appomattox, VA. with visitation one hour prior to the funeral at 12 noon until time of service. Funeral home viewing will be held from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3,2019 at the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
