Clifton Walker Mosley

“Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal”

Clifton Walker “C-Money” Mosley departed his life peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Cliff was born on June 17, 1961, to the late William and Shirley Mosley.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clayton and Elizabeth Mosley and his maternal grandparents Adolphus and Gladys Mosley in addition to one sister, Patricia Mosley.

Cliff accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jordan Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA.  He attended school in the Appomattox County school system.

Left to cherish his memories is his companion Bettie Johnson of Appomattox, VA; four children that he raised as his own, Darlene Kelso, Detra Kelso, Noonie Kelso and Laura Kelso, all of Appomattox, VA; six sisters, Janet Kelso (Ward), Brenda Mosley (Victor), Margaretta St. John (Michael), Juanita Fleshman (James), Sandra Mosley (Jerry), all of Appomattox, VA, and Delores Mosley of Lynchburg, VA; three brothers; Otis Mosley (Tiffany), Thomas Mosley (Lynette) and Alvin Mosley (Shelia), all of Appomattox, VA; four devoted aunts, Margaret Stanley (Eric), Claudia Mosley of Lynchburg, VA, Veola Mosley and Jean Mosley of Concord, VA; one devoted uncle, Rev. Ronnie Mosley (Jackie) of Rustburg, VA; one sister-in-law, Alice Mosley; two God sisters, Kathleen Hubbard and Marilyn Olds (David); one God brother, Jerome Hubbard; three God children whom he loved dearly, Zyriah Kelso, DiZarion Allen and Jamera  Pollard; devoted friends, MacAuthur Jones, Jamal Hamlett, Steve Marshall, James Clark, Walter Johnson, Donald Johnson and Steve Clark. There were three special ladies that he looked to as a mother, Lillie Wiley, Virginia Wright, and Sarah Wright, and a host of special nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Clifton Walker Mosley will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the Jordan Baptist Church, 11882 Stonewall Rd., Appomattox, VA.  He will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 12 noon until 5 p.m. at the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home Chapel.
