On Saturday, February 6th, 2021, the angel of the Lord came to visit Dannie William Goode, 75, of Spout Spring, VA, at the Lynchburg General Hospital to transition him from labor to reward.
Dannie was born December 23, 1945 to the late Lois Walker Goode and Elijah Goode, Sr.
Dannie was preceded in death by his late wife Linda Mae Harvey Goode and his brother Henry L. Goode, Sr., and one sister Mattie Lawson.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA. He attended the Carver-Price High School in Appomattox County.
Dannie was employed at Lynchburg Foundry for many years until the closing of the foundry and illness came upon him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and talking with his friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Jacqueline Goode of Spout Spring, VA; one granddaughter, Dominque Spinner (Orlando) and one grandson Keith Goode both of Spout Spring, Va.; three great grandchildren, Christian, Jayson, and Avah; one brother, Elijah H. Goode (Virginia) from Appomattox, VA; three sisters; Mary B. Flowers, Rena J. Kelso, Alice Kelso (Zack) from Appomattox, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dannie Goode will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 1:00 p.m. from Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery, Spout Spring, VA. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, 11-6 p.m. at the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home, Appomattox, who is professionally serving the family. Wearing of facial masks and social distancing are required to follow COVID guidelines.
