Elijah Nyzir Davis

Elijah Davis, 10 months old, went to be with the Lord while
laying in his mother’s arms on Wednesday March 24, 2021. He 
was born on May 22, 2020 at UVA hospital to Candace Lee and  Jeffrey Davis.  
Elijah fought a battle with pulmonary hypertension for 10 months 
and two days. Time after time he showed his family,
 nurses and doctors how strong he really was. 
His favorite nurse said he will always be remembered
as the sweetest and strongest boy who weathered so may storms
but found so much happiness in his mobile, lollipops, hand
holding, music and seeing his mom arrive.
 She stated that she will remember his perfect laugh.
He is survived by his mother Candace Lee of Appomattox, VA;
his father Jeffrey Davis of Altavista, VA; his two loving and beautiful
sisters Emerald Davis and Emeri Davis of Appomattox,VA; and one
brother Xavier Hunt of Hurt, Va. 
Elijah is also survived by his Nana Bernice Thomas (George) of 
Appomattox,Va who was the second person to ever hold him.; 
 his Papa Raymond Lee (Sandra) of Appomattox, VA; his 
Great-Grandma Stella Acker of Appomattox Va; 
his paternal Grandmother Linda Butler (George) of Altavista, Va
Elijah was also grateful to have his grandparents, uncles and aunts 
Facetime with him due to hospital restrictions. He had so 
many others in his life that checked on him often during 
his stay at UVA hospital. 
To be so young has left a huge impact on a lot of people. 
He has shown that some short stories can be the most beautiful.
 

A private immediate family funeral service for baby Elijah will be held.  Please keep the family in prayer!
