Garland Randolph McCoy, Jr.

Garland McCoy, Jr., affectionately known as "Binkie" departed this life on April 14, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was born to Mr. Garland McCoy, Sr., and Mrs. Dorothy McCoy of Appomattox, on December 9, 1974.

Garland leaves behind the memories of his siblings:  Sam Diggs of Amherst, Hershey Diggs (Kim) of Appomattox, Walter Higginbotham of Appomattox, and one sister, Deborah McCoy-Goins (Horace) of Appomattox.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his children:  Candace McCoy (ShyQuan), Sha'Kayla McCoy (Tevin), Jayden McCoy, and Chelsey McCoy, along with Jayden and Chelsey's mother, Emma Canada.

He also especially loved his two precious grandchildren:  Gianni Lambert and Arrmori Brimm.

He leaves to cherish his special friend, Angie Barracks.

He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Terkais McCoy.

A private immediate family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from the chapel of Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home.  Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 12 noon until 6 p.m.

Wearing of masks and social distancing is required.
