George Watkins Obituary

George Michael (“Mike”) Watkins passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at home in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Born November 23, 1960, he was the son of George Melvin Watkins and Laura Faris Watkins. Mike graduated from Fluvanna County High School and went on to attend Emory & Henry College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business. Mike was a devoted UVA basketball and baseball fan. He enjoyed attending the UVA games including sharing tickets with others so that they could experience the joys of the game. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and hunting. Mike was preceeded in death by both parents and a brother, Danny L. Watkins.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for December 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bybee’s Road Baptist Church.
