Helen Fleshman Kelso

Ms. Helen Fleshman Kelso, 91, born May 7, 1932, departed this life on May 4, 2024 at Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was a loving daughter to the late Maggie Brimm Fleshman and the late Zane Tucker Fleshman.

Helen is survived by a late husband, Monroe Jackson Kelso, Sr., three deceased children she truly loved, Helen Fleshman, Leo Kelso and Monroe J. Kelso, Jr.

She is survived by four children; Barbara Woodson (Sammy), Thelma Kelso, Ben Kelso and Edward Kelso (Janet), adopted son Pastor Ronald Mosley (Jackie); four grandchildren that she raised as her own, Darlene, Detra, Bernard and Laura Kelso; 16 grandchildren, 37 great- grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Rev. Harrison Kelso; host of nieces, nephews and friends; best friends Sarah Wright, Linda Reid and Barbara Haley.

Thank you for taking good care of her at the Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation Center and Hospice aides Daisy Green and Dianne Pickett.

A funeral service for Mrs. Helen Fleshman Kelso will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home.
