James Truman Hamlett

James Truman Hamlett, of Appomattox, VA passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 72.

He was born in Lynchburg, VA to the late Frank Hill and Cassie Jones Hamlett.  James received his high school diploma.  One son predeceased him, Stanley Hamlett and one brother, Frank Hill, Jr.

James is survived by his children,  James Truman Hamlett, Jr., Aaron Hamlett, Stephon Leach; daughters, Gail Washington and Shamekia Leach.  Brother, Frank Hamlett; sisters,  Maryann Burrell, Maxine Hill, Marcia Ferguson and Edith Dews; a devoted friend Joanne Lee, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends are left behind to cherish his memories.
