Jannieann Elizabeth Wesley Ford was the second child born to the late Alfred Wesley and Margaret Wesley in Farmville, Virginia.
Jannieann attended Five Forks School in Prince Edward County, Virginia.
On August 31, 1957, she was joined together in matrimony with Robert Paige Ford and to this union two sons were born, Robert Sylvester Ford and James Milton Ford.
In 1958, they relocated to Jamaica, New York. She worked as a domestic worker before eventually being hired as a custodian at Queens College, where she eventually advanced to be a supervisor. She also took steps later in her career to complete and further her education.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Jamaica, New York for more than 60 years, where she was an active member in the choirs and several other committees.
Jannieann was a beloved family member and a cherished friend to many and she was known for showing unconditional love and support to all in her circle. She was known to enjoy playing various games with family and friends, especially attending Bingo games.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Tony. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Sylvester and Milton, her siblings, Alfred (Ruth), Ida Mae (Ray), and Brenda, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her aunt Ida, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020, 1 PM at Triumph Baptist Church in Darlington Heights. A viewing will be from 12 to 1 only.
The Homegoing service will be private.
