Jewel Francine (McCoy) Allen

On Monday, December 6, 2021, Jewel Francine McCoy Allen took off her battery pack and put on her wings and went home to be with the Lord.  She was born May 18, 1969 to the late Jamin McCoy, Sr., and the late Christine Hudson McCoy. 

Jewel had a degree in nursing and received her LPN degree and loved her career.

She is survived by her husband (Joseph Allen, Sr.); children, Joseph Allen, Jr., Kevon Wilson, Lynn Wheeler and Clifton Taylor (adopted sons).  Her grandchildren: Delani Tanner, Cedrick Wilson, Jr., Gammon Abbitt, Zykera Wilson, Major Wilson.  Brothers and sisters, Terry McCoy (Mary Anne), Jamin McCoy, Jr. (Sharon); Rhonda Daye (James), Brenda Baker (Stanley), Nina, Charlene, Shelia, Donna, Deena (Kevin), Donnie (Debbie), Ron; one uncle William Morton; a very devoted special friend and caregiver Robert Farmer (the love of her life); a devoted daughter and caregiver Tatiana Aron; her dog, Ace Allen (her sidekick), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and all of the neighborhood kids.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her oldest son Cedrick Wilson, Sr., and a brother, Steven Scruggs.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home.  A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
