Lena A. Jennings

Lena A. Jennings was born in Charlotte County, VA on August 26, 1914 to the late Anthony and Janie Abbitt.

She departed this life on January 27th, 2022 in Southside Community Hospital, Farmville, VA

Lena was a stay-at-home mom, and she loved cooking and playing the guitar.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Jennings; three sons, Raymond Jennings, Cecil Jennings and Edward L. Jennings and one daughter, Edna Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are five daughters; Virginia Johnson, Margaret Gilbert, Ruby Jennings, Charlotte Furline and Jessie Jones along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

For HE only picks the best.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.”
