Mary Inez Booker, 76, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2024. “Tootie”, as she was affectionately known, was born on November 21, 1947 to the late George Booker and Clarissa Smith Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward “Eddie” Thomas and William “Bill” Booker, Sr.
Mary attended John Muir High School of Pasadena, California where she graduated in 1965. She pursued her educational career and studied at Pasadena City College. Throughout the years, Mary’s gifted hands perfected her professional craft of designing wedding gowns and clothing garments as a seamstress. Mary was also a successful entrepreneur and had a company called Mary’s Dolls where she created porcelain baby dolls. She spent over 30 years of creating beautiful babies for children and families to enjoy.
Cherishing her memory are seven brothers; George James (Bernice) Thomas, Jr., Ernest Phillip Thomas, David Stephen (Linda) Thomas, Theodore Victor Collins, Derek Bernard Collins, Larnell Collins and Nathaniel Collins; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, three very special friends, Betty and Alvin Johnson, Sherrie Russell, a loving husband Alton Redd and other special relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, 12 noon until 5 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, 1 p.m. at the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home Chapel.
