Ralph D. Lyle

Ralph Dupe Lyle was born on May 12, 1957, to Christopher and Rachelle Lyle, in Pamplin, Virginia.  Ralph was employed by Cycle System where he worked for 37 years before retiring in 2008.   In his leisure, he enjoyed working with his hands, helping others, and spending time with his family.  Ralph accepted Christ as his Savior with Sulphur Spring Baptist Church of Prospect, VA where he served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.

Ralph Dupre Lyle was truly blessed.  He was born on May 12, 1957, and departed his life on February 28, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Rachel Lyle; sister Mable White; and brothers James Lyle and William Lyle.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Shirley Ann Lyle of Appomattox, VA.  They were married for 49 years.  Ralph is also survived by his four children, Shirley Deann Humbles, Ralph Rodney Lyle, Willie Leoy and Melissa Lyle, Jusin Nico Cobbs; 8 grandchildren; Jashaun and Travina Cobbs, Tyrees Humbles, Karlie Lyle, Haili Lyle, K'mya Cobbs, Ky'Nasha Cobbs, Kenya Chambers, and Jayonna Cobs; 2 great-grandchildren, Aiveya Humbles and Jorja Cobbs; two brothers, John and Phyllis Lyle, Wardell and Shery Lyle; father-in-law, Leroy Cobbs, close family friend George Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Lyle will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 12 noon at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church, Prospect, VA.  He will lie in repose one hour prior to the service at the church.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 12 noon until 5 p.m. in the chapel of Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home.
