Roger Lee Elliott

Mr. Roger Lee Elliott departed this life on September 6, 2024 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1943. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Willie Morris Elliott and Eura Graham Elliot, his paternal grandparents, his companion of 31 years Miss Corrine Hubbard, two brothers Willie T. Elliott, Stuart G. Elliott and a grandson Robert N. Hubbard Jr. “RJ”.

He leaves to honor his memory two children, Lashawn M. Hubbard of Concord, Virginia and Robert N. Hubbard (Lynn) of Amherst, Virginia; a sister Dorothy E. Dove (Pastor Sidney) of Concord, Virginia; two brothers Robert M. Elliott (Vera) of Lake City, South Carolina and Pearly A. Elliott (Christine) of Lynchburg, Virginia; seven sister-in laws, Gwendolyn Elliott of St. Petersburg, Florida, Joyce Elliott of Concord, Virginia, Ida Donigan (Kenneth) of Concord, Virginia, Kathleen Hubbard of Nelson, Virginia, Sheila Hubbard and Stacey Dews (Marty) of Appomattox, Virginia and Marilyn Olds (David) of Pamplin, Virginia; one brother-in-law Michael Hubbard (Janet) of Las Vegas, Nevada;  four grandchildren, C.J. Davis of Concord, Virginia, Domanique Hamlette of Appomattox, Virginia, Anajashia Austin and D’Shawn Toliver of Amherst, Virginia; and one very special granddaughter, Jamilia Davis of Gretna, Virginia who faithfully helped care for her Big Papa; four great grandchildren Taylen, Jamal Jr., Michael, and Micah and a host of nieces and nephews. He also had special friends Minister Edward Mckoy, Sr.,  Aaron Davis, Terri Ferguson, and devoted cousin Morris Dixon.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Roger Lee Elliott will be held on Thursday, September 12, at noon at the Pilot Mountain Baptist Church, 1114 Spring Mill Road, Concord, VA  24538.

Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 11, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the chapel of the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home, 1121 Old Courthouse Rd., Appomattox, VA  24522.
