Mrs. Sandra Fay Marshall Ligon entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 5th 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was born in Charlotte Court House, VA on December 6th 1963 to the late Leonard Marshall, and Ruby Megginson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Patricia Chambers and Joyce Chambers and one brother, Matthew Marshall (Lesunder).
Sandra professed Christ at an early age, and became a member of Zion Baptist Church in Pamplin, VA. She attended Appomattox County Schools.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Lennie Ligon, Sr., of Long Beach, NY; three sons, Terrence (Sabrina) Marshall of Goode, VA, Eric Marshall of Lynchburg, VA and Lennie Ligon Jr. of Lynchburg, VA; one stepson, Lorenzo Jones of Charlotte Court, VA; three sisters, Mrs. Doreen Jackson (Mike), Mary Horsley (John), and Shirley Green (James) all of Pamplin, VA; one brother, Leonard (Shanae) Marshall of Pamplin, VA; six grandchildren, Tyron (Tiffany) of Roanoke, VA, Terrence (Alexsis) of Forest, VA, Terrell of Roanoke, VA, and Israel, and Eric Jr.; one granddaughter, Erion; three great- grandchildren, Troy, Naomi, and Apollo; her fiancé, Tony Brown of Lynchburg, VA; one step-daughter, Tina Paige of Madison Heights, VA, her Godmother, Linda Harris; two God sisters, Betty Reid and Lisa Reid all of Appomattox, VA and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, 2:30 p.m. at the Zion Baptist Church, Pamplin, VA. Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 12 noon until 5 p.m. at the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home.
